To enable Attendance Exceptions, go to Control Panel > Settings > Attendance > Configure Attendance, click any of the Configure Exception links on the page, and tick the Enable Attendance Exception checkbox at the top of the Attendance Exception page. The same toggle enables both Web/Mobile Exceptions and Default Attendance Status Exceptions.
