Define leave entitlement rules

Hawk HR enables admin to define leave entitlement rules as per your company policy. In order to entitle the leaves, leaves need to be credited.

Refer to the following steps to define the leave entitlement rules:

  1. Navigate to: Control panel -> Leaves -> Entitlement
  2. Under the section of Adding new leave entitlement rule
  3. Select the Category, Department, Designation, Employment Type, Entity, Gender, Band, Marital Status
  4. If you Want to entitle leave on experience level, mark the check box
    1. Enter the minimum Number of experience needed for entitlement of leaves
  5. Enter the Maximum leave, if you wish to restrict Maximum Leave count allowed at an instant. 
  6. Enter the Credit Frequency (Monthly, Quarter, Semi Annual, Once )
  7. Enter the Leave Count allowed per annum
  8. Click on Show credit plan to view credit plan, the system will show the leave count in a month on the basis of credit frequency selected.
    1. For configuring new joiners mark the check box Prorate leaves for new joiners (based on date of joining)
    2. Enter the number of days (of attendance ensured), and the percentage of leave applicable
  9. Click on Save to define leave entitlement rules

The updated entry will be shown under existing Leave Entitlement rules. You can perform different actions on the entry by the options given under Actions

Note: Leaves will be credited as per the entitlement rule on the following day.


Add exceptions to the leave entitlement values at employee level

In case admin need to add exception to leave entitlement for some specific employees, refer the following steps:

  1. Navigate to: Control panel -> Leaves -> Entitlement
  2. Under the section of Employee Leave Entitlement, a list of entitlements are given
  3. Select the Category of leave
  4. Select the Employee to whom we are adding as exception
  5. Enter the Leave counts (per annum)
  6. Click on Save button (to add the exception)

Updated entry will be shown in the list.
