Biometric Service Status Indicators

Each device is assigned a color status based on recent sync activity:

🟥 Red – No Punches in Last 24 Hours

  • The device has not sent any punch data in over 24 hours
  • Possible reasons:
    • Internet outage
    • Device malfunction
    • Incorrect or reset device settings

🟧 Orange – Inactive for 30 Minutes to 24 Hours

  • The device hasn’t synced punches in the last 30 minutes, but did send data within 24 hours
  • Possible reasons:
    • Temporary non-usage (e.g., no employees present)
    • Minor network issues
    • Device in idle mode

🟩 Green – Active in the Last 30 Minutes

  • The device is online and syncing data properly
  • This means:
    • The biometric is in use
    • Network and device configurations are working as expected

Common Causes of Biometric Sync Disruption

  • Internet connectivity issues
  • Firewall or proxy changes on the network
  • Hardware problems (device, cable, or adapter)
  • Configuration resets or manual changes in the device
