HRStop's Biometric Service Status feature helps administrators monitor the connectivity and performance of biometric attendance devices. This article explains how to interpret the real-time status indicators and what actions to take if a device stops syncing punches.

Accessing Biometric Service Status
- Login to your HRStop account with admin access
- Navigate to:
Control Panel → Settings → Integration - Locate the Biometric Service Status section
- You’ll see real-time sync indicators for each connected biometric device
Biometric Service Status Indicators
Each device is assigned a color status based on recent sync activity:
🟥 Red – No Punches in Last 24 Hours
- The device has not sent any punch data in over 24 hours
- Possible reasons:
- Internet outage
- Device malfunction
- Incorrect or reset device settings
🟧 Orange – Inactive for 30 Minutes to 24 Hours
- The device hasn’t synced punches in the last 30 minutes, but did send data within 24 hours
- Possible reasons:
- Temporary non-usage (e.g., no employees present)
- Minor network issues
- Device in idle mode
🟩 Green – Active in the Last 30 Minutes
- The device is online and syncing data properly
- This means:
- The biometric is in use
- Network and device configurations are working as expected
Common Causes of Biometric Sync Disruption
- Internet connectivity issues
- Firewall or proxy changes on the network
- Hardware problems (device, cable, or adapter)
- Configuration resets or manual changes in the device
What to Do if the Status Is Red or Orange
- Check the internet connection on the device location
- Reboot the biometric device
- Ensure ADMS or Utility settings haven’t changed
