Creating offboarding checklist

An employee offboarding checklist details all of the necessary tasks that must be done when an employee leaves the company. It is often completed as a check-box exercise so that line managers and HR team members can see at a glance which activities have been finished and which are still outstanding. HawkHR enables admin to create offboarding checklist for employees.


Refer to the following steps to create offboarding checklist for employees:

  1. Navigate to: Control panel -> Employees -> Separation requests, click on drop down on Employee offboarding -> offboarding checklists, a new page will open up, showing the fields to create offboarding checklist for employees

  2. Enter the Title, Description, Department, Designation and Entity, click on Save button

The newly added checklist will be added in the list below.

To define Offboarding request,

  1. Navigate to: Control Panel -> Employees -> Separation Request, click on drop down on Employee offboarding -> offboarding checklists

  2. Click on Offboarding checklist, a new page opens up with the list of all the Offboarding tasks already available if any. Now click on option ?Ç£Checklist?Ç¥, and define the off boarding checklist. In order to define the task to the checklist, click on ?Ç£Manage tasks?Ç¥ under task column in the table and update the corresponding task. To each task, you can define the ?Ç£Applicable to?Ç¥, ?Ç£Priority?Ç¥, ?Ç£Owner?Ç¥. Click on Save button, it will start displaying those tasks in the list when the admin wants to assign OnBoarding to the employees.

For Trigger Offboarding:

  1. Navigate to: Control panel -> Employees -> Separation requests

  2. Click on Employee offboardings option given on the top right corner

  3. Click on Trigger Offboarding

  4. A dialogue box will appear asking about proceeding with offboardings

  5. Select the Employee

  6. Select Yes/No

Notification of successful Offboarding will be shown. All the changes will be made instantly.
