Creating a new travel request

Travel module will help to plan a business trip, view travel history, get easy reimbursements and tickets all at one place. Hawk HR enables admin to manage travel records of the employees of the company. This article focuses on creating a new travel request.


Refer to the following steps to create new travel request:

  1. Navigate to: Control panel -> Travel

  2. Click on +New, given in the page navigation bar

  3. A new page will open up showing fields to request new travel journeys

    1. Employees: Select the Employees

    2. Title: Enter the Title

    3. Description: Enter the Description

    4. Departure date Enter the Departure date

    5. Arrival date: Enter the Arrival date

    6. Travel type: Enter the Travel type

    7. Travel From: Enter the location you are traveling from

    8. Travel type: Enter the location you are traveling to

    9. Travel to: Select the travel priority

    10. Mode of travel: Enter the mode of travel

    11. Reason: Enter the reason of travel

  4. Enter the Travel itinerary details in the table below

  5. Click on +Create request button to create the request

The entry will be updated in the list. To view list of travel requests click on Travel list. You can Approve, Reject, Edit with the help of options given under Actions.
