Configuring NPS

HawkHR enables admin to configure NPS. Employee can declare an amount that contributes to National Pension Scheme. Click here for more details on NPS. Admin has to declare the component in the salary template in order to employee to contribute:

Refer to the following steps to configure NPS:

  1. Navigate to: Control panel -> Payroll -> Salary Template

  2. Click on Next to come to the section of Pay components, define the components for Employee NPS and Employer NPS, select the respective necessary configurations of Value, Pay frequency, Prompt, etc

  3. Come to the section of Map component to configure the category of the pay components, select Employee NPS and Employer NPS against respective components

  4. Click on Next to finish the process

Now employee can declare the amount of he/ she want to contribute to NPS, employer can also declare it on the behalf of employee.

Declaring by admin on the behalf of employee:

  1. Navigate to: Control panel -> Payroll -> Investments

  2. Click on + Add New button (given in the page action bar), a new page will open up showing fields to declare investments

  3. Select the Employee on behalf of whom you want to declare the investments

  4. Down scroll the page to get to the section of INVESTMENTS U/S 80C, 80CCC, 80CCD

  5. Enter the amount against the field of 80CCD - National Pension Scheme, this is the amount that this employee contributes towards National Pension Scheme

  6. Click on Submit button to update the changes

Declaring by employee:

  1. Navigate to: Main panel -> Compensation -> Investment Declaration, a new page will open up showing fields to declare investments

  2. Down scroll the page to get to the section of INVESTMENTS U/S 80C, 80CCC, 80CCD

  3. Enter the amount against the field of 80CCD - National Pension Scheme, this is the amount that this employee contributes towards National Pension Scheme

  4. Click on Save button to save as draft, click on Submit button to finally submit it

Once submitted, employee will not be able to make further changes to declaration.
