Dec 02, 2019

Hawk HR allows you to publish password protected payslip files to your team. This option adds a level of security to the payslips, as the payslips cannot be opened without the passwords. There is also an option of Master Password, as this is open all the payslips.

To enable the option, please follow the below steps:

  1. Navigate to: Control Panel -> Settings -> Payroll

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and under the option Payslips, enable the option: Make payslip password protected.

  3. This allows you to select Password 1, Password 2 and Master Password.

    • **Password 1**: Select the password type from the drop-down and the password type selected would be entered to open the payslip. (1st Priority)

    • **Password 2**: Select the password type from the drop-down and the password type selected would be entered to open the payslip. In case the Password 1 is not mapped to the employee profile, then Password 2 shall be used to open the payslip.(2nd Priority)

Example: PAN number has been set as Password 1, and D.O.B as Password 2. The employee will be able to open the payslip through Password 1 and Password 2 i.e D.O.B will work only in case the employee does not have the PAN number mapped in the profile.

    • Master Password: This will open all the payslips.

  4. Payslip footer: In case you want to add the footer note to the payslip, you can update the content.

  5. Click on the Update button

All the changes will be made instantly.

Note: If for an employee, both the fields that are selected for Password 1 & Password 2 respectively, are not defined then the employee's payslip will open without asking for any password.
