HRStop allows you to implement a two-level leave approval process, ideal for organizations with layered management. This ensures that both the immediate manager and an HR/Admin review and approve the request.
How Two-Level Approval Works:
- Level 1: The request is first reviewed by the reporting manager.
- Level 2: After manager approval, it is sent to an Admin/HR for final approval.
Steps to Configure Two-Level Leave Approval:
Step 1: Go to Leave Settings
- Navigate to Control Panel → Settings → Leave.
Step 2: Select and Edit a Leave Category
- Find the leave category you want to configure.
- Click Edit.
Step 3: Enable Multi-Level Approval
- Scroll to the Approval Settings section.
- Select “Two-Level Approval” or “Manager + Admin Approval”.
- Ensure the correct approver roles are assigned (Manager for Level 1, Admin for Level 2).
Step 4: Save and Apply
- Click Save to finalize your changes.
Example Flow:
- Employee applies for leave.
- Manager reviews and approves → Status changes to Manager Approved.
- Admin/HR gives final approval → Status changes to Approved.
Best Practices:
- Use for sensitive leave types (e.g., Long-Term Leave, Sabbaticals).
- Set up clear SLA timelines for each approval stage.
- Train managers and HR on status indicators (e.g., “Manager Approved” ≠ Final Approval).
