How to Edit or Reassign Assets After They’re Added

Sometimes you may need to update an asset's details or reassign it to a different employee. This article explains how to do both easily from the system.

Steps to Edit an Existing Asset:

  1. Navigate to: Control Panel → Assets → View/Add
  2. Search or filter for the asset using name, code, category, or employee.
  3. Click the Edit icon next to the asset.
  4. Update the necessary fields:
    • Asset Title, Description, Code
    • Live Stage or Next Service Date
    • Procurement details, documents, or notes
  5. Click Save.

Steps to Reassign an Asset:

  1. In the same Edit Asset form:
    • Go to the Assign To section
  2. Select the new employee from the dropdown.
  3. Update the Issue Date and Expected Return Date.
  4. Add any comments if needed.
  5. Click Save to complete reassignment.
