Trigger Appraisal

Hawk HR enables admin to trigger appraisal for employee. Trigger appraisal would mean any change in salary component for the employee or actual increment in the salary, addition/ update of new salary template. You can trigger it one by one as given in the steps below or can be done using Import option.


Refer to the following steps for triggering appraisal:

  1. Navigate to: Control panel -> Payroll -> Appraisal
  2. Click on Trigger Appraisal button (given in the page action bar)
  3. A new page opens up where you can find the fields to trigger appraisal
  4. Select Employee for whom you want to trigger appraisal
  5. Select Effective Month, in case you want to trigger appraisal from specific date of month, you need to enable the configuration from (Control Panel -> Setting -> Payroll -> Enable appraisal based on date)
  6. Select Salary Update Type from the given options:
    1. Assign New Salary Template : Status of current salary template will be shown with the option of selecting New Salary Template, Current Salary Break up will also be shown below
    2. Update Only Salary of the employee : It shows both Current and New Salary Break Up, you can manually edit the New Salary Break Up.
    3. Enter Appraisal percentage : It shows both Current and New Salary Break Up, you can manually edit the New Salary Break Up.
      1. Mark the check box to Do not increase medical beyond its monthly limit 1250 on increment
      2. Mark the check box to Do not increase conveyance beyond its monthly limit 1600 on increment 6. Mark the check box to Adjust the Conveyance and medical difference in the selected component
      3. Mark the check box to Round Off Components and adjust the Amount in the selected component
      4. Mark the check box to Appraise monthly total of entered amount, If difference come adjust in the selected component
  7. Click on Submit (to trigger appraisal), Reset option is also given to remove the filled details
