If an employee is going to get an appraisal in the next month but due to some reason, his appraisal got delayed by two months, then at the end of third month, he will get an extra amount equal to the difference of old salary and new salary, this amount is known as appraisal arrear.
Admin has to calculate appraisal arrear for the employees, the amount will be disbursed in payroll of the month.
Refer to the following steps to calculate appraisal arrears for the employee
- Navigate to: Control Panel > Payroll > Appraisal
- On the Appraisals page, you will see the list of appraisals already completed. Now, to adjust their arrears you may either do it in bulk or individually
- Click on the Calculate Arrears button (given in the navigation bar), a new page will open up showing fields fill the details:
- Select the Effective Date, date from appraisal was applied to the employee's salary.
- In Appraisal Period, enter appraisal Start and end date, which are the dates for which arrears are due. For example, 1st April 31 May.
- Select the Pay Out Period, date when the salary will be paid out along with the adjusted arrears.
You will see the appraisal amount for the employee, verify the amount and correct it if required. The arrears calculated will be automatically credited to the employee's monthly salary.
- Mark the check box to Consolidated all appraisal arrears as a single component (enabling this Consolidates all appraisal arrears as a single component)
- Click on the Calculate arrears button to calculated arrears for the employee
