On Duty Leave:
On duty leave should be applied by the employee if he is not available in the office that day because of some official work. The employee will be able to view the On duty leave tab, only if the configuration has been enabled by the admin. Refer the steps below to apply for on duty leave at employee level:
Navigate to: Main panel -> Leaves -> View/ apply
Click on On duty tab
Leave Period : Enter the Leave Period (the duration for which On Duty leave is applied)
Reason : Enter the Reason for applying the 'On Duty Leave'
Choose the Document file related to the reason of applying 'On Duty Leave'
Click on Submit (to request the 'On Duty Leave')/ option of Reset is also given (to clear the details)
Entry will be updated in the list. Down scroll the page to view the list of On duty requests with details, which can be deleted with the help of option given under Actions column until the reporting manager/ admin approves it.
On Duty Attendance Request:
This should be requested by the employee if the employee have to leave the office for some work related purpose. The employee will be able to view the On duty attendance tab, only if the configuration has been enabled by the admin. Refer the steps below to apply on duty attendance at employee level:
Navigate to: Main panel -> Attendance
Click on Request Attendance tab
The newly opened page shows field for Attendance punch request
Attendance Date : Select the Attendance Date
Request Type of On Duty will be available by default
Punches : Please enter punches in 24 hours format
Comments : Please enter the Comments
Click on Request (to request)/ option of Reset is also given (to clear the details)
Entry will be updated in the list. Down scroll the page to view the list of On duty attendance requests with details, only requests with pending status can be deleted with the help of option given under Actions column until the reporting manager/ admin approves it.
The basic difference between the two is that if the employee is unavailable in the office for the whole day, he will apply On Duty Leave, while if he leaves the office for a fixed period of time, he will apply On Duty Attendance Request.
