On duty & Work from home

HawkHR provides options of On duty, Work from home to the users. On duty leave should be applied by the employee if he is not available in the office that day because of some official work while Work from home is a concept where the employee can do his or her job from home itself. Work from home gives a flexible working hour to the employee as well as the job for the employer is done with ease.

Make sure to enable the options of On duty & Work from home:

  1. Navigate to: Control panel -> Settings -> Modules

  2. Under the section of MISCELLANEOUS

  3. Work From Home Leave Module: Enable Work From Home Leave Module (mark the checkbox) (Enabling this will enable work from home leave module for employees as well as admins. Once enabled, the employees will be able to see Work From Home tab in Apply Leave section in their Self Services Portal and request for the same)

  4. On Duty Leave Module: Enable On Duty Leave Module (mark the checkbox) (Enabling this will enable On Duty leave module for employees as well as admins. Once enabled, the employees will be able to see On Duty tab in Apply Leave section in their Self Services Portal and request for the same)

Admin approval (Work from home):

After successfully applying of work from home by the employees, admin can approve/ reject the requests.

  1. Navigate to: Control panel -> Leaves -> Employees

  2. Click on Work from Home button (given in the navigation bar)

  3. The newly opened page shows list of Work from Home requests applied by the employees

  4. You can filter the results on the basis Status/ duration of requests

  5. You can perform different actions (approve/ reject) by the help of icons given under Actions column

Admin apply on the behalf (Work from home):

Admin can also apply for work from home on the behalf of the employees.

  1. Navigate to: Control panel -> Leaves -> Employees

  2. Click on Work from Home button (given in the navigation bar)

  3. On the newly opened page, click on Apply WFH button (given in the action bar)

  4. Select the Employee on behalf of which you are applying the work from home

  5. Select the Leave period, the duration up to which the work from home is valid

  6. Enter the Reason for applying work from home

  7. Select the Document (document related to the reason of applying work from home)

  8. Enter the Status (Approved/ Pending)

  9. Click on Submit to submit the request/ option of Reset is also available to remove the filled data

  4. You can filter the results on the basis Status/ Duration of requests

Admin apply on the behalf (On duty):

Admin can also apply for On duty on the behalf of the employees.

  1. Navigate to: Control panel -> Leaves -> Employees

  2. Click on On duty button (given in the navigation bar)

  3. On the newly opened page, click on Apply Onduty button (given in the action bar)

  4. Select the Employee on behalf of which you are applying the On duty

  5. Select the Leave period, the duration up to which the On duty is valid

  6. Enter the Reason for applying On duty

  7. Enter the Document (document related to the reason of applying On duty)

  8. Enter the Status (Approved/ Pending)

  9. Click on Submit to submit the request/ option of Reset is also available to remove the filled data

All the changes will be made instantly.
