HRStop allows you to define specific attendance exceptions for individual employees, departments, locations, or designations. These exceptions are useful when you want to override the default attendance rules for a targeted group or individual—for instance, marking default attendance as Present for a department that operates in a field role or works remotely.
Steps to Configure Attendance Exceptions
-
Navigation Path:
Go to Control Panel → Settings → Attendance → Configure -
Enable Attendance Exceptions:
On the Configure Attendance page, locate and click on the Configure Exception button. Ensure the Attendance Exception option is enabled. -
Define Exception Type:
You can set exceptions based on the following parameters:- Employee
- Department
- Location
- Designation
-
Set Default Attendance Status:
Choose the default status (e.g., Present or Absent) for the selected employee or group.- Example: For the Sales department, you might set the default as Present to avoid missed attendance reminders if field punching isn't feasible.
-
Save Your Configuration:
Once you’ve set your parameters, save the configuration. These rules will be applied instantly, and the selected employees or departments will follow the exception rules defined.
Use Case
This feature is especially helpful for roles that don't use standard web or biometric attendance methods (e.g., field sales teams, remote consultants), enabling organizations to maintain accurate attendance without disrupting operations.
