Purpose
This article explains how to grant administrator-level permissions to an employee (for example, a Vice President, Department Head, or Senior HR) within HRStop.
Administrators can manage system configurations, users, and module-level settings based on the permissions assigned to them.
Granting administrative access ensures that senior leaders can handle approvals, view insights, and manage operations without depending on the super admin for every change.
When You May Need This
- When a senior leader (like VP, HR Head, or Operations Head) needs access to configuration and reports.
- When an employee is promoted and requires extended system privileges.
- When an administrator wants to delegate management access to another trusted user.
Step-by-Step: How to Give an Employee Administrator Access
Note: Only users with permission to manage the Settings module can assign administrator access.
- Log in as an Administrator who has permission to manage the Settings module.
- Navigate to: Control Panel → Settings → Security.
- Scroll down to the Admin Permissions section.
- On the right side, locate the section to assign permissions.
- Select the employee (e.g., Vice President) from the dropdown list.
- Choose permissions to assign from the multi-select dropdown based on what level of control the employee needs.
- Click Submit to save the changes.
- The employee must log out and re-log in to see the updated administrative access in their account.
Example
If your Vice President needs access to the Employee Management and Attendance modules but not Payroll, simply select Employee Management and Attendance from the multi-select dropdown.
Do not select Payroll or other modules where access is not required.
If your organization is multi-entity or location-based, permissions can also be assigned at the entity, location, or business unit level, depending on your setup.
Assigning Advanced Admin Permissions
If your organization uses Enterprise Features, you can also assign advanced admin permissions based on Location, Entity, or Business Unit.
