Setting First and Last Punch for Attendance Calculation

HRStop allows administrators to define how employee attendance is calculated based on punch data. If you prefer to calculate attendance using only the first and last punch of the day, you can easily configure this setting in just a few steps.

Steps to Enable First and Last Punch Calculation

  1. Navigate to the Control Panel
    Log in to your HRStop account and go to the Control Panel.
  2. Go to Attendance Settings
    From the Control Panel, click on Settings and then select the Attendance section.
  3. Open Attendance Rules
    Within the Attendance section, go to the Rules tab where punch calculation preferences can be set.
  4. Select Time Calculation Method
    In the Attendance Time Calculation Method dropdown, choose "First Punch and Last Punch" as your preferred method.
  5. Save the Changes
    Scroll down and click Submit to apply the new setting.

Once this option is enabled, the system will calculate attendance based only on the first and last punch recorded for the day, ignoring intermediate punches. This setting helps simplify attendance tracking while ensuring accuracy in work hours logged.
